The Miniporzione is the perfect compromise between the Mignon and Monoporzione sizes: it is bigger and more capacious than a mignon pastry, but smaller than classic after lunch or dinner dessert. This category includes two shapes called Cocca and Break, a description of the latter can be found on the page below. Cocca is characterised by a quadrangular shape, easy to fill, the perfect setting for even the most elaborate decorations and fillings. It is named after a type of Medieval boat which is considered to have been the most widely used during this period of burgeoning maritime trade, in virtue of its ability to sail even in the most arduous of conditions. Therefore the name Cocca is a celebration of versatility, simplicity and lightness: the perfect conclusion to an abundant meal, specifically conceived to satisfy that yearning for a sweet little something after the last dish has been served. It is highly coveted in its Love, Tropical and Ciocco versions and can be used both in restaurants and patisseries.
